UPDATE 9/28/10: Text “OCRF” to 85944 to donate $5.00 USD to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. Kelly Ripa is partnered with Electrolux to help support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund through Kelly Confidential, a web-based initiative that runs through September 30th. Each day you visit the site and click the Perfect Steam™ button, Electrolux will donate one dollar to OCRF. You may also do this through the Facebook page. You will then receive an offer to enter a sweepstakes for a shopping spree between $50 and $250 and the grand prize, a luxury washer and dryer from Electrolux–but you don’t have to enter. No donation nor personal information is required for the click to count.
If you are so inclined, through September 30th, Electrolux will donate $200 to OCRF for every Turquoise Sky Perfect Steam™ washer/dryer pair purchased at participating retailers in the US.
Electrolux has committed $750,000 to this cause. It’s a shame I just came across this yesterday, but you can still do plenty of clicking and washer & dryer buying in the last eight days, so get to it, readers!
Visit Kelly Confidential to click the button once per day from now through the end of the month, and to watch Kelly Ripa emcee the “Rumpled to Runway” blogger fashion show! Follow them on Twitter @KCbyElectrolux.
As for me, I’m working on lead generation for real estate in Northern Virginia; read all about it here. More updates to the blog soon. Newbies, here’s your overview.

I lost my sister to ovarian cancer in 2005. She was so beautiful and such a huge part of everything in our families lives. Thank you so much for doing this. It’s about time someone is doing something to make people more aware of this.

Kelly is such a beautiful person inside and out. She is a great role model for this generation to model. I know they ( Kelly and Electrolux ) will not only meet their goal but exceed it by far!
