SECURITY ALERT: More Problems with

I was alerted to a new security breach by Perez Hilton’s website (not linked here for readers’ safety) due to the sudden increased number of hits to this post, where back in March on Oscar weekend I alerted readers to the fact that this website was marked as a security threat by McAfee Site Advisor.

When I attempted to access Mr. Hilton’s website, I was redirected to this page, which states the following:

“When we tested, it attempted to make unauthorized changes to our test computer by exploiting a browser security vulnerability. This is a serious security threat which could lead to an infection of your computer.”

Oddly, the site still has a green check mark in terms of its official rating, but if my security software is quite literally preventing me from accessing the site, I’d have to advise you not to access it at this time.

As I said in March, for those who want a safe alternative for their celebrity gossip fix, I suggest Dan Abrams’ and Michael Lewittes’s Gossip Cop. They have a significant track record for catching Perez Hilton in inaccuracies, so much so that he actually blocked Gossip Cop on Twitter. They also get a green check mark from McAfee Site Advisor.
